Abstract

Las artes gráfcas han permitido a las sociedades documentar su historia, transmitir conocimientos y expresar ideas y emociones de manera visualmente impactante y, han sido fundamentales en la educación y difusión de información, así como a su aplicación a la cartografía. La evolución y modernización de las artes gráfcas para la reproducción cartográfca en el Instituto Geográfco Nacional, está íntimamente ligada a la fgura de Rodolfo Núñez de las Cuevas.

ABSTRACT

Graphic arts have allowed societies to document their history, transmit knowledge, and express ideas and emotions in visually striking ways. They have been fundamental to education and the dissemination of information, as well as their application to cartography. The evolution and modernization of graphic arts for cartographic reproduction at the National Geographic Institute is closely linked to the fgure of Rodolfo Núñez de las Cuevas.
