Cumplidos 200 años de su nacimiento el artículo reconoce la excepcional fgura del General Carlos Ibáñez e Ibáñez de Ibero como militar, ingeniero y científco español cuyos logros, muchos de ellos desconocidos, fueron fundamentales para la cartografía moderna a nivel nacional e internacional.

Marking the 200th anniversary of his birth, the article recognizes the exceptional fgure of General Carlos Ibáñez e Ibáñez de Ibero as a Spanish soldier, engineer, and scientist whose achievements, many of them unknown, were fundamental to modern cartography at the national and international levels.
